Paul Byrne – A Golfer First

For Paul Byrne, golf has always been more than a pastime. It’s been a constant through decades of work, travel, and change across Europe and the Middle East. While his career was built in the high-pressure world of delivering large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, golf remained his grounding force – the place to focus, unwind, and occasionally remind himself why three-putts are character building.

But as much as he loved the game, he grew frustrated with what golfers were offered to wear. “Big brands were charging for the label, not the fabric. The cheaper alternatives looked and felt like afterthoughts,” Paul says. “I wanted clothing that worked in the Dubai heat, moved with my swing, and looked sharp — without the inflated price tag. It shouldn’t be that hard, should it?”

In 2024, Paul turned that frustration into action. Keltic Golf wasn’t born in a boardroom or dreamed up by a marketing team — it was built by a golfer who refused to settle for “standard.”
